Doing a weekly crafting with family that wants to get together.. Winter is so long and this is one way to make it go faster. First time getting together, we didn't know what we were to do. LOL

We did a fast Valentine card.

Don't laugh this is the group that should up at my house.  Next will be at Bobbi, we put her in charge.

Think she has a plan!! 

The little ones had a ball..(so did we)  I think they did a great job.

Caught the Bug is stating a new challenge!  It's a family affair, it will be fun.

We are having a mild winter so far, but this challenge 

will help winter for us northern to pass the time.

Bobbi came up with this great ideal, as if we don't have enough things to do, so go into her blog

and see what we are up too!!!

I just finished making a beaded scarf that I started back in May... I'm not happy with it as it

doesn't look like the same as the on I copied.  Going to post the one I make and

 the one I brought in Branson MO

About Time!

It's about time I posted something!  This has been a busy year, so much going on.  But that doesn't keep me from my fun stuff.  Last baby shower was for baby girl, so with hook in hand this is what I came up with.

Love this pattern..Found it on Pin, would you believe I have this pattern in my very first crochet book.. it cost only .25 cents.   Does that date me???  I have a couple more baby gifts to finish, which I will post later.

I also made a blanket to match.. really cute.

This is my last bag I crochet using cotton thread.  Easy on these old fingers.
   Not like the nylon, it doesn't hold up as well, but I like it. The pattern is my own.

Hellooooo

It's been some time sense my last post, and would you know, they changed draft blogger again.  Grrrr
At my age, I don't like change, but it is good for the old brain, so they say!!!!

Been playing around making new card.  This one is a box card my DD set up for me with the cricut cart.
Need something to put coaster dollies in as a gift.  First one is always my practice.  Thought I would
show what I ended up with.  Not really what I had in mind, but it will do.  I wanted to make one to use in a candy bouquet ...   Any way here it it..

Candy bouquet isn't the way I wanted it to turn out... like I said this is practicing.. (Friend is getting it the way it is)  But--- I will know how to go about making  the next one.

I Made A Card!! About time..

I need to get busy and make more cards.. I am running out.  Not only that, Christmas Card need to be made.  So out into cyber space for some ideals.  Stopped into Stampin Sisters InChrist to be inspired.  Challenge #  114-- Dig in your stash and use one of your oldest stamp set, one that hasn't seen any use for a long  while.    Humm I can do that, I haven't used any of my stamps for some time.. easy enough.  The stamp I am using is GET WELL SOON. The other is computer printed..(sorry, I do a better job from the computer)   got that ideal from  Everyday Cricut 

Now I don't know if I am going to send it out like that... just wanted to make a card..

Nothing Bright.. just quiet colors!

As you can see, its not fancy~~~just plain simple card, sometimes that all we need to tell some one they are special.  Remember it's the thought that counts.  Enjoy God's many Blessings.

I finished up another card.  Been playing around with my crochet needle and thread. Thinking I needs some flowers for my cards. I really like this little daisy. After gluing my HI on .. think should have been more at the top.

Two Challenge this time WoooHooo.

Sister's In Christ Challenge.. #97 -- James 2:18-19. James is one of my favorite book of the Bible. My oldest daughter can recite the whole chapter of James. I am so proud of her.

So for this challenge -- "What works for you" use your favorite item for stamping, it could be a stamp, embossing folder, favorite spellbinder shape.

I just fell in love with this church from one of cricuts carts -- Tie the Knot. It belongs to my daughter, she may never get this carts back.,

Hope this fills the challenge .. my cricut is my favorite tool to made my cards.  Come to think about it. Most all the tool I use for card making are my favorite... LOL

Here's a card....

Made this card this morning from scraps laying around my work table, for a girl friends birthday.  She loved it, and said it's the best card I made, now really, I would believe her if she didn't say that every time she gotten  a card from me.    HeeHee.. Real friends are like that.

I never seem to get around to posting my cards.

I'm Back .. and thank you!

I want to thank the ones who left comments on my blog while I was gone a couple of weeks... which was almost a month. Things needed done around the house and etc. when we got home. One thing lead into many.


Our grandson's and new wife Shari wedding was just beautiful. It was a wonderful day on Clearwater Beach Fla. The 2 weeks with my daughter and son-in-love was sunny the whole time... then we had to come home to rain, rain and more rain. The weather is just now begging to be clear. Another week-end coming up to celebrate the young couple wedding with some of the family that couldn't make the trip to Fla. The plan is to have it at our house. Should be a fun week-end with family.

What am I working on... ????

Challenge # 89  for OPUS--  Love is in the air and in the home.  What are you working on or made? (something like that) check them out, I love those girls. They are fun and cheerful!

Do you really want to know?  humm.... I don't decorate for valentine day any more, all my babies have grown up and don't come to visit much,  but I am working on cards. Feb. is my birthday month and would you believe most of my very close friends birthday are in Feb. That means I need to make cards .. 5 of them. As for what else I working on.... is my craft room, just getting started so it isn't finished. Plans are to make it a WOMAN CAVE. So guess I can post that later... right..

 I am so excited that my BBF (daughter) is surprising me with a  Cricut Expression.. how super is that? I have 4 BBF daughters.. they keep me in thread,  (crocheting)  Jafra (to help keep me beautiful)  games for my brain.  They keep me young!!! I am so blessed.

.  Challenge #73.. Stampin"Sisters In Christ -- "Use Vintage style project".. I thought it was about time I do some posting to show that I am still making cards. Sometimes I feel that my card are too simple to show. With me, if I put those big bows and buttons and all that fancy stuff,. they won't go though the mail, unless I put more stamps on them. I'm thinking I should start a blog "No Challenge Just Show Your Stuff."

Anyway I really enjoy the spriptural in Sisters.. this week is Jermeah 31:3. Show LOVE as God love us.  His love is forever. 

Opus-- Wants  "Key to My Heart... I think this card will work for that #87 Challenge, it has a heart and I put my heart into making it.. I have a child trunk that was given to me as a child by my grandmother. It over 100 years old. I use to put some of my favorite cards in it. Some of my cards are as old as I am. LOL.. The picture on this card was from a friend of 60 years ago. So I would say it is vintage. Here is my recycled card

The one who has a key to my heart is going to get this card..he loves my kisses!

Sister's in Christ Challenge # 65


Scripture .. John 3:30 "He must increase, but I must decrease" For me I am using "me" needing to decrease. For Sunday, our lesson is on Developing a Good Attitude..

Wow... one of my hang up, I know I need to decrease my attitude and be more Christ like, mostly this time of the year. So my card is --Snowman melting down. (with a happy face)

Wedding card

This isn't for any challenge.. it's a card I need for a wedding this week end.  This has been a busy month for me.  I plan to post some of the things I been doing.  Like my trip to Eureka Spring Ar. and my trip to Evansville to visit my DD #2,  My DD#1  in Fl. is flying in for this week end.  So maybe I can post  next week.  I don't think I have been missed, but I sure miss blog hopping!

Never To Late!

 Here's my practice pencil water colors card, made for the DD who had a Birthday Sept 18th. It is never to late to wish her a Happy Birthday at Caught The Bug. I think I am going to like playing with the pencils.


I used a tube like brush.. hang on!! I have to look in the trash to find the name of it.. Found it.. it is Pentel Art Aquash Brush... you just squeeze the water tube .. not to hard, just enough for a small drop of water. It works wonderful. I need lots more practice and some cute little something to colors.

Here is the Birthday Girl...... Happy Birthday Bobbi!
